Sunday's lesson was about Jesus being baptized by his cousin, John. The bottom line of the lesson was "When you discover something new, it can change you."  John followed God all of his life. At some point God made it clear to John who Jesus really is. Knowing who Jesus is changed what John did! He prepared the way so that everyone could know Jesus. The same is true for us. Learning something new about how to follow God should change the way we think and act. God wants everyone to know Jesus because he sent Jesus for EVERYONE!  
We asked the children if they knew what it meant to be baptized. Athena had the correct answer! It means that you are made new and are now part of the family of God. We also worked on memorizing the monthly Bible verse by playing a relay memory game. Hopefully the children will be able to earn Believer Bucks by reciting the verse by memory next week!
