Harvester's Evangelism & Outreach ministry offers a variety of ongoing and seasonal opportunities to serve those in need in our local community and beyond.
The Missions, Outreach and Evangelism Committee partners with other ministries locally and abroad to support them both financially and with our prayers.
Some of the ministries we partner with are:
Trustees are church volunteers who oversee physical aspects of our church such as finance, property, and buildings.
Trustees responsibilities also include risk management and liability issues.
They also have decision power over requests for use of the facilities by various groups both within the Church family and outside organizations.

Groundhogs are responsible for keep our grounds looking beautiful. Typical teams of 3 to 4 people use a riding mowers for the main area, use a push mower to trim, and operate a weed whacker or edger.
Volunteers Needed to work with our Ground Hogs
It's mowing season and we need volunteers to help mow our grounds.
Work 3 to 4 Hours once per month on Thursday or Friday morning between the hours of 7am and noon. Our goal is that each volunteer works once per month.
In March we mow every 2 weeks and April through October weekly. Typical teams of 3 to 4 people operate one of our three riding mowers, use a push mower to trim, operate a weed whacker, or edger.

Gardeners Needed!!
We still have a few more gardens that need to be adopted/ maintained.

The congregational care team is a group of loving and dedicated fellow members who reach out to others in the congregation when there is a need such as an illness or death.
We meet 3 to 4 times each year for planning, and when there is an immediate need we communicate via E-mail or phone calls.

Harvester UMC supports two sister churches in Cuba both financially and with our prayers.
Our sister churches are
In January of 2018 a team of four went to Cuba to visit our churches. Another trip is being planned for Janaury of 2019.
The Missions, Outreach and Evangelism Committee is planning a mission trip to visit our sister churches in Cuba the week of January 13, 2019.
Participants will need to apply for visas no later than the second week in September.

Prayer is absolutely essential to the life of any believer and any church.
Therefore, our prayer ministry begins by encouraging everyone at Harvester to be a person of prayer. Prayer needs are listed in the worship bulletin on a weekly basis.
There are so many needs in our church and beyond that must be covered in prayer.
Text your prayer concern to the prayer chain at 813-846-434 or join the prayer group on Friday mornings at 10:00 am in the sanctuary.
