Evangelism & Outreach

Harvester's Evangelism & Outreach ministry offers a variety of ongoing and seasonal opportunities to serve those in need in our local community and beyond.

The Missions, Outreach and Evangelism Committee partners with other ministries locally and abroad to support them both financially and with our prayers.

Some of the ministries we partner with are:

  • Christian Social Services
  • Students in Transition
  • Cornerstone Family Ministries
  • Metropolitan Ministry
  • Living Water Community Transformation
  • Cuba Sister Church partnership

What is the role of a Harvester Church Trustee?

Trustees are church volunteers who oversee physical aspects of our church such as finance, property, and buildings.

Trustees responsibilities also include risk management and liability issues.

They also have decision power over requests for use of the facilities by various groups both within the Church family and outside organizations.

What does it involve?

The congregational care team is a group of loving and dedicated fellow members who reach out to others in the congregation when there is a need such as an illness or death.

What are some examples?

The duties of congregational care involve :

  • sending cards
  • visiting the sick and shut in
  • providing transportation to appointments
  • making meals for families
  • taking the altar flowers to someone each week
  • providing funeral luncheons

How do I become part of the team?

If you  would like to join us, please call Deborah Alexander at 813-994-2538

Prayer Ministry

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” - Colossians 4:2

"Pray without ceasing." - 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Prayer is essential

Prayer is absolutely essential to the life of any believer and any church.

Prayer Ministry

Therefore, our prayer ministry begins by encouraging everyone at Harvester to be a person of prayer. Prayer needs are listed in the worship bulletin on a weekly basis.

There are so many needs in our church and beyond that must be covered in prayer.

Make your concerns known

Text your prayer concern to the prayer chain at 813-846-434 or join the prayer group on Friday mornings at 10:00 am in the sanctuary.
